On Call International's Rescue Nurse Services

The study abroad student with a broken leg in France. The business traveler with heart problems in China. The missionary suffering from respiratory issues in Kenya. During times like these, On Call International’s rescue nurses are standing by to help your travelers get home as safely and seamlessly as possible.

What Makes On Call International’s Rescue Nurse Team Different?

Accreditation: We are the only provider accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS), which is the mark of excellence in the medical transport industry. This means we provide the best service levels for patient care, safety and effectiveness in the commercial airline medical transport market.

Seamless Logistics: With close to 100% client satisfaction ratings, we know we have high standards to uphold. That’s why in addition to our caring, globe-trotting rescue nurses, we have a staff of dedicated transportation and assistance coordinators who take care of every detail from flights, ground transport, hotel accommodations and more. And to ensure the level of quality, continuity and care your travelers deserve, our rescue nurse case management operations are conducted in-house from our U.S.-based Global Response Center.

Expertise and Credentials: Our rescue nurses are Registered Nurses (RNs), U.S.-licensed and have a minimum of five years' experience in an Emergency Department, Critical Care, Transport and/or the Operating Room environment. They also hold additional certifications in their areas of expertise, are certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)/Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and have extensive international travel experience and multi-lingual abilities. On Call’s Rescue Nurses are required to stay up-to-date on personal and environmental safety, altitude physiology, pharmacologic therapies, in-flight emergency response and other medical transport best practices as needed.
